Creative food and perfect coffee at Caracoli cafe and shop in Alresford

I love spending a morning mooching around Alresford. This pretty market town has a fantastic range of thriving independents – a great butcher and fishmonger as well as stores stocking everything from international fashion and contemporary homewares to local art and crafts. It’s a fantastic place to shop but, best of all, once you have browsed the lovely shops you can treat yourself to a coffee at Caracoli.

The contemporary decor, the service, the truly delicious and creative homemade food (try the melt-in-the-mouth cheese straws), the fresh coffees and smoothies and the friendly atmosphere are all delightful. This is a coffee house you would expect to find in a smart area of London so it’s an absolute treat to find such a stylish and cosy nook in a small country town.

Located in a Grade II listed building, there’s a cute little courtyard to enjoy on warmer days as well as a small retail area stocking high quality local and homemade foods. Sundays are for brunch and they also hold a number of special evening events. And yes, they have Wi-Fi too. Everything you could possibly want.

TiYK Top Tip! Caracoli have just opened a new store in Winchester so keep an eye out for it next time you’re on the high street.
